    Determinig the endurance of a surface put to the abrasion test using the finite element method

    This paper presents the modeling and simulation of a set of hardened materials used in the restoration process using the finite element method. The experimental research work looked for a connection between the endurance of a surface put to the abrasion test and its hardness number. The presented model was made using the ANSYS package and it becomes an instrument of prediction of the surfaces endurance. The information used for modeling was taken from the rezults of the abrasion test. The results acquired through modeling are very close to the ones resulted in the experimental use.
